FOREIGN AND IN SOUTH AFRICA. WHAT HAS LIFE BEEN LIKE?

DISCLAIMER: The experiences shared on this video are not a generalisation. This is just our personal experience and is not exclusive to all foreigners in South Africa. This channel is a documentation of a singular experience around different environments.

My sister and I share what it has been like living in South Africa for the past 10 years. Our parents got exceptional skills permits to offer their skills and expertise in South Africa. We are Cameroonian citizens with South African permanent residency. This is our story.

We have been blessed to experience and achieve so much while in South Africa and for that, we are grateful. We believe in Social Cohesion and advocating for unity on our continent. We are more similar than we think. However our perceptions about each other is what drives us apart. If we could take a moment to truly get to know each other and understand that we are all trying to achieve the same things in life, then perhaps there will be less disunity. At the core of the African dream lies POVERTY ALLEVIATION. It has to begin there, before we can speak of a better Africa for all. I must highlight that while in a country that is not your “home country”, it is important to respect the rules and regulations that govern that nation, in this case, South Africa.
We hope you enjoy this video and can contribute some positive comments which can spark conversations on how to better our continent.
